Saturday 24th March + Sunday 25th March 11am-6pm
The Next Term Festival will transform the historic disused Varna Street School building in Openshaw like never before, through immersive art installations, live performances and hands-on creative workshops. Brought together with the help of our partners, the festival will celebrate the importance of creativity, curiosity and imagination in learning.
Through artistic platforms it will ask: “what is the future of education?”; at a time when creative exploration remains undervalued and under threat by our government. Expect performances from Manchester’s Cave Man, Keisha Thompson and Reece Williams, music from Brighter Sound plus workshops with Angel Sweeney, Sam Meech, Vicky Clarke and Nikky Storyteller.
All workshops and performances are free – no need to book. See the programme below and click here for info on travel and how to find us.
